Writing
ASAP writing assistants work with CSUMB students in the various stages of the writing process from prewriting, drafting, revising, to publishing. Writing assistants may work with students to:
- Generate ideas for a writing assignment
- Help clarify terms on an assignment
- Assist with thesis development and organization
- Share paragraph and organizational strategies
- Review sentence structure and grammar concepts
- Offer proofreading and editing tips
Types of writing support:
- 50-minute individual appointments
- Extended, semester-long-appointments

- Study groups for WRT 95: Integrated Reading and Writing
ASAP writing assistants work with all students across various majors and disciplines at CSUMB. While ASAP typically focuses its support on intensive written communication couses across the campus such as: Writing 95: Integrated Reading and Writing; the English Communication A, B, and C (GWAR) series; and Senior Capstone, we acknowledge and invite all students and their writing projects to ASAP.
