14th Annual Have a Heart for Students Dinner and Auction

ASAP writing assistants work with CSUMB students in the various stages of the writing process from prewriting, drafting, revising, to publishing. Writing assistants may work with students to:

  • Generate ideas for a writing assignment
  • Help clarify terms on an assignment
  • Assist with thesis development and organization
  • Share paragraph and organizational strategies
  • Review sentence structure and grammar concepts
  • Offer proofreading and editing tips

Types of writing support:

ASAP writing assistants work with all students across various majors and disciplines at CSUMB. While ASAP typically focuses its support on intensive written communication couses across the campus such as: Writing 95: Integrated Reading and Writing; the English Communication A, B, and C (GWAR) series; and Senior Capstone, we acknowledge and invite all students and their writing projects to ASAP.
